How to Change the Saving World Interval on Your HumanitZ Server

In the harsh world of HumanitZ, losing progress due to a crash or unexpected restart can be devastating. By adjusting the Saving World Interval, you can control how frequently the server backups your world data. Whether you want near-constant saves for maximum security or longer intervals to reduce disk I/O during heavy gameplay, the GGServers panel makes this adjustment simple. This guide will show you how to configure your auto-save frequency.

Step 1: Stop Your HumanitZ Server

Modifying the frequency of database and world file writes is a core configuration change that requires the server to be offline. Access your GGServers Control Panel, select your HumanitZ instance, and click the Stop button. Wait for the status to show as “Offline” before proceeding.

Step 3: Open the General Settings Tab

In the Server Settings area, click on the General Settings tab. This section manages the technical behavior of the server, including how it handles world data and save intervals.

Step 4: Adjust the “Saving World Interval”

Locate the field labeled Saving World Interval. Here, you can enter the frequency at which you want the server to save the game, measured in seconds. For example, entering 600 would save the world every 10 minutes. The GGServers panel automatically saves your changes as soon as you finish editing the field.
