How to Change Your HumanitZ Server Name
Your server’s name is the first thing players see in the server browser, making it essential for branding and attracting survivors to your world. Whether you want to include your community name or specify your server’s rules, the GGServers panel makes updating your identity simple. This guide will show you how to change your HumanitZ server name through the configuration settings.
Step 1: Stop Your HumanitZ Server
To ensure your new server name is correctly registered and broadcasted to the master server list, you must first stop the instance. Access your GGServers Control Panel, select your HumanitZ instance, and click the Stop button. Wait for the status to show as “Offline” before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Access Server Settings
With the server stopped, look at the sidebar on the left side of the panel. Click on the Server Settings button. This menu allows you to manage the specific launch parameters and identity of your HumanitZ server.

Step 3: Open the General Settings Tab
In the Server Settings menu, click on the General Settings tab. This section contains the primary fields for server identification, including the name that appears in the in-game server list.

Step 4: Change the Server Name
Locate the field labeled Server Name. Enter the desired name for your server in the text box. The GGServers panel will automatically save your changes as you type or once you click out of the box, so there is no need to look for a save button.

Step 5: Start Your Server
Return to your main dashboard and click Start. Your server will now boot up with its new identity. Open the HumanitZ server browser and search for your new name to verify it is appearing correctly!
