How to Check Your Server Performance

This guide will show you how to properly check your server performance.

The Multicraft CPU and Memory bars are not accurate so it is recommended to find other ways to check the server performance.

In case you have a Vanilla server we highly suggest you change it to Paper to be able to run plugins and check the server performance with the steps above.

Here is our guide for changing your server version and type. Also, we suggest you do a backup before changing as our guide is explaining here.

Plugins Servers (Bukkit/ Spigot/ Paper)

To check accurately your server performance you will have to set up the plugin called EssentialsX.

Here is our guide for setting up and using EssentialsX.

To install EssentialsX you need to:

  1. Download the version you want from here.

  1. Upload it using Filezilla to your server plugins folder. Here is our guide for using Filezilla.

  1. Restart your server.

How to Check the Performance

After you set up this plugin, all you have to do is use the following command which will show you the actual memory usage:

/gc

⚠ NOTE ⚠: If you are using it into your Multicraft console you will have to do it without / at the beginning.

Here you can find our guide for improving your server performance.

Modded Servers (Forge)

To check accurately your server performance you will have to set up SpongeForge and the Sponge plugin called Nucleus.

Here you can find the Nucleus official page.

Here is our guide explaining about SpongeForge. Note that SpongeForge is working only on Forge 1.10.2. 1.11.2, and 1.12.2.

To install SpongeForge and Nucleus you need to:

  1. Download the versions you want from here and here.

  1. Upload them using Filezilla to your server mods folder. Here is our guide for using Filezilla.

  1. Restart your server.

How to Check the Performance

After you added the SpongeForge jar and the Nucleus jar to your server mods folder, you just need to use the following command:

/serverstat

⚠ NOTE ⚠: If you are using it into your Multicraft console you will have to do it without / at the beginning.

Here you can find our guide for improving your modded server performance.
