How to Customize Claim Names in Xaero’s Minimap

If you’re using Xaero’s Minimap and want to personalize the name of your claimed areas, you’re in the right place! By default, Xaero’s Minimap displays claims as “Insert name here‘s Claim.” However, you can easily customize this to something that fits your style better.

In this post, we’ll walk you through the steps to change the claim name using the Open Parties and Claims (OPAC) mod, which works seamlessly with Xaero’s Minimap.

Prerequisites

Before we begin, make sure you have both Xaero’s Minimap and the Open Parties and Claims (OPAC) mod installed. If you haven’t done that yet, here are the download links:

Steps to Customize the Claim Name

1. Access the OPAC Settings

  • First, open the game and press the C key to open the OPAC configuration menu. If you’ve customized your controls, make sure to check the keybinding settings in the Minecraft controls menu.

2. Modify the Claim Settings

  • Once you’re in the OPAC menu, find the “Claims” section. This is where you can adjust settings related to your land claims.

3. Change the Claim Name Format

  • In the “Claims” section, locate the option for “Claim Name Format.” By default, this will display as “{player}’s Claim.”
  • You can easily modify this to something more personalized, like "Protected Area by {player}" or anything that fits your needs.
  • The placeholder {player} will automatically insert your Minecraft username.

4. Save and Apply Changes

  • After you’ve made your changes, save the configuration.
  • The new claim names will now appear on your Xaero’s Minimap, making your world feel even more customized and personal!

For a more detailed guide and to troubleshoot any issues, you can visit the official Open Parties and Claims documentation.

If you haven’t already, make sure to download the mod and give it a try. Happy mining and exploring!

Bonus Tip: If you’re playing with friends, consider using the Open Parties and Claims mod to also manage your parties and claim areas more efficiently. It’s a great tool to keep your land protected!
