Icarus: Console Edition Launches This February – What You Need to Know
The wait is finally over for console survivalists. From the mind of Dean Hall (the creator of DayZ), ICARUS: Console Edition is officially set to land on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on February 26, 2026.
Originally a PC powerhouse, ICARUS brings a session-based survival experience to the living room, and it isn’t coming alone. The console version arrives as a “complete” experience, including the massive New Frontiers expansion right out of the gate.
Accessing Your Game Settings
If you are managing your own survival world, you’ll need to know your way around the management interface. Here is how to navigate the setup:
- Panel: Log in to your game control panel.
- Stop: Ensure the server is fully stopped before making changes.
- Server Settings: Navigate to the configuration files or server settings tab.
- General Settings: Locate the gameplay and world parameters.
- Auto-Save: Change the setting that will auto-save your progress to ensure no resources are lost during a crash or restart.
Survival on a Hostile Planet
In ICARUS, you explore a planet where terraforming went horribly wrong. You’ll face toxic atmospheres, brutal storms, and lethal predators. The console edition features:
- Massive Maps: Two 64 km² maps to explore.
- Game Modes: Choose between Open World (permanent bases), Missions (timed extractions), or Outposts (creative building).
- Co-op Play: Team up with up to four players to conquer the wild.
