How to Remove an Add-On from Your Minecraft World After Marketplace Pass Expiry

If you’re playing Minecraft on Bedrock Edition and have encountered an issue where an add-on from a Marketplace Pass is still active after your free trial has expired, don’t worry! Here’s a simple guide on how to remove the add-on and get back to playing without it.

Steps to Remove the Add-On

1. Access Your World Settings

  • Open Minecraft and go to the Play section.
  • Find the world that has the add-on you want to remove.
  • Click the pencil icon (✏️) next to the world to enter the World Settings.

2. Go to Add-Ons in World Settings

  • Scroll down to the Add-Ons section in the world settings menu.
  • This is where you’ll see all the behavior and resource packs that are active in your world.

3. Remove the Add-On

  • In the Add-Ons section, identify the add-on that you want to remove.
  • Click on the add-on, and there should be an option to either Remove or Delete.
  • Confirm the removal when prompted.

4. Save and Exit

  • After you’ve removed the add-on, make sure to save your world settings.
  • Exit the settings and try loading your world again. The add-on should no longer be active.

Additional Tips

  • Backup Your World: Always create a backup of your world before making any changes. This ensures you won’t lose any progress if something goes wrong.
  • Trial Add-Ons: Remember that if the add-on was part of a Marketplace Pass trial, it may no longer be accessible once the trial ends. However, removing the add-on manually, as described, will stop it from affecting your world.
  • Persistent Issues: If the add-on still doesn’t seem to go away, you can reach out to Minecraft Support or check the Minecraft Help Center for more information.
