How to Join Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server
Joining your Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) server is a straightforward process once your instance is live. Whether you are hosting a competitive Versus match or a classic Co-op campaign, the GGServers panel makes it easy to manage your connection. This guide will walk you through starting your server and connecting via the in-game browser.
Step 1: Access the Panel
First, log in to your GGServers Control Panel. This is your central hub for managing your server’s state, IP address, and technical configurations.
Step 2: Start the Server
Ensure your server is online by clicking the green Start button on the main dashboard. You should see the status change to “Running” and your server IP address become active in the top-left corner.

Step 3: Open the Game and Server Browser
Launch Left 4 Dead 2 on your PC. From the main menu, navigate to the Steam Group Server list or use the console to open the legacy Server Browser. If the server browser is not visible, you may need to enable the “Developer Console” in your game settings.

Step 4: Search and Connect
In the server browser, select the Custom or Internet tab. You can search for your server by name or use the Favorites tab to add your server IP manually. Once you find your server in the list, click on it and select Connect.

Step 5: That is it!
