Ultimate easy and fast Minecraft Brewing guide

Potions in Minecraft are some of the best and most useful items in the game. However, the potion brewing process can be a bit complicated. But no worries, because this is the ultimate Minecraft 1.20 potion brewing guide. Let’s check it out!

Brewing Essentials

To brew a potion in Minecraft, you need the following:

  • Brewing Stand: Made with three cobblestones and one blaze rod.
  • Blaze Rods: Obtained from Nether fortresses.
  • Blaze Powder: Crafted from blaze rods and used to fuel the brewing stand.
  • Glass Bottles: Filled with water by right-clicking on water or using a cauldron.
  • Nether Wart: Found in nether fortresses and grown on soul sand.

Basic Brewing Process

  1. Place the brewing stand and fuel it with blaze powder.
  2. Fill glass bottles with water and place them in the brewing stand.
  3. Add Nether wart to make an awkward potion.
  4. Add a secondary ingredient to create a useful potion.

Secondary Ingredients

These ingredients determine the type of potion you create:

  • Sugar: Speed potion.
  • Rabbit’s Foot: Leaping potion.
  • Glistering Melon: Healing potion.
  • Magma Cream: Fire resistance potion.
  • Puffer Fish: Water breathing potion.
  • Spider Eye: Poison potion.
  • Golden Carrot: Night vision potion.
  • Blaze Powder: Strength potion.
  • Ghast Tear: Regeneration potion.
  • Turtle Shell: Turtle master potion.
  • Phantom Membrane: Slow falling potion.
  • Fermented Spider Eye: Weakness potion and corruption of other potions.

Modifying Ingredients

These ingredients modify the effects of potions:

  • Redstone: Extends the duration of the potion (e.g., from 3 to 8 minutes).
  • Glowstone Dust: Increases the strength of the potion (e.g., speed 1 to speed 2).
  • Gunpowder: Turns the potion into a splash potion.
  • Dragon’s Breath: Turns a splash potion into a lingering potion.

How to Obtain Ingredients

  • Blaze Powder and Blaze Rods: Kill blazes in nether fortresses.

Advanced Tips

When brewing potions, always carry milk buckets to remove all status effects if needed. Automating potion brewing can save time and effort. You can use hoppers to automate ingredient placement, fuel refilling, and potion collection. You can also make tipped arrows with potions, applying the potion effect when the arrow hits.

Fun Facts

Healing potions harm undead mobs, while harming potions heal them. You can also do certain brewing steps out of order, like using the fermented spider eye on a potion that’s already had an increased duration or effect.

I have probably written reviews before and I will probably do it each time I have noteworthy experiences with ggservers Read More For context I have ordered servers from this provider multiple times across several years While pricing changes due to general pricing changes across the market and availability of services changes according to what they can make available the one thing that has NEVER changed in my experience is their customer support I primarily order modded servers specifically with modpacks I create myself Not only is it great they allow people to host their own modpacks but they provide expert insight and support to assist their clients in making the packs run well and quickly work to solve any issues that arise And when one makes use of custom modpacks issues are frequent And yet ggservers is there to help you make it work support every time
