A sad Enderman in a vibrant, pixelated End scene framed with wood, calling attention to Minecraft's forgotten dimension.
Minecraft is one of the most iconic games of all time, no doubt about that. Mojang has done an incredible job keeping the game alive with new features, updates, and quality-of-life changes. But even with all the love the game gets, one major part of it has been left in the dust for far too long.
Yes, I’m talking about The End.
Before we go further, if you’re planning to start a new world or set up a private server to explore the game with friends, use the code BLOG30 at GGServers.com for 30% off any game server. It’s the perfect way to dive back into Minecraft with others.
The End was once the ultimate goal. You’d gather your Eyes of Ender, track down a stronghold, fight through the portal, and face the Ender Dragon. It felt epic. But now, compared to newer content, the End feels outdated and honestly… a bit boring.
The Overworld has been constantly evolving. We’ve seen deep caves, new villages, biomes, mobs like the Sniffer, camels, goats, and all sorts of new blocks and items. Even the Nether got a full rework with biomes, Piglins, Bastions, and new materials.
And yet, the End? Still the same old void islands with chorus fruit, End cities, shulkers, and elytra. That’s basically it.
Remember when the Ender Dragon was the final boss? These days, it’s arguably easier than fighting the Wither, and definitely way easier than surviving an encounter with the Warden.
Once you’ve killed the dragon and snagged your elytra, you really don’t have to go back. There’s no reason to. And that’s a big problem. A core part of the game’s lore and structure is basically reduced to a one-time trip.
Imagine what Mojang could do with the End:
Right now, it feels like Mojang added the End years ago and then walked away from it. It hasn’t seen a meaningful update in what feels like 10 or 15 updates. That’s a long time in Minecraft years.
Look, this isn’t to say the developers aren’t working hard. They absolutely are. But feedback like this matters. The End has so much untapped potential, and the community is hungry for something fresh.
It’s time to give the End the attention it deserves.
And hey, if you’re planning to challenge the dragon again or explore custom End dimensions with mods, don’t forget you can set up a multiplayer world easily using BLOG30 for 30% off your own game server at GGServers.com. Worth it, trust me.
Let’s hope the End gets the upgrade it’s been waiting for.
I have probably written reviews before and I will probably do it each time I have noteworthy experiences with ggservers Read More For context I have ordered servers from this provider multiple times across several years While pricing changes due to general pricing changes across the market and availability of services changes according to what they can make available the one thing that has NEVER changed in my experience is their customer support I primarily order modded servers specifically with modpacks I create myself Not only is it great they allow people to host their own modpacks but they provide expert insight and support to assist their clients in making the packs run well and quickly work to solve any issues that arise And when one makes use of custom modpacks issues are frequent And yet ggservers is there to help you make it work support every time
