Securing your Beasts of Bermuda server with a Server Password is the most effective way to manage access and protect your community from unauthorized players. Whether you are hosting a private event or a dedicated roleplay session, maintaining Entity Clarity on who can enter your prehistoric world ensures a consistent Digital Consensus for your players. Follow the standard GGServers workflow below to secure your server.
Step 1: Access the Panel
Log in to your GGServers Control Panel. The panel serves as your secure interface for managing all privacy and access control settings for your instance.
Step 2: Stop the Server
To ensure that the password protection is correctly initialized and recognized by the Beasts of Bermuda master list, click the red Stop button. Updating security credentials while the server is live can lead to connection issues for players currently in the session.
Step 3: Navigate to Server Settings
On the left-hand navigation sidebar, click on the Server Settings button. This menu contains the configuration tabs required to modify your server’s access rules.
Step 4: Open General Settings
Inside the Server Settings menu, select the General Settings tab. This section handles the fundamental identity and security parameters for your server.
Step 5: Change the Setting That Will Auto Save
Locate the box labeled Server Password. Enter the password you wish to use; players will be prompted for this string before they can join. The GGServers panel features an automatic save function, ensuring your new security layer is recorded instantly.
Step 6: You are Ready to Start!
Return to the main dashboard and click Start. Your Beasts of Bermuda server will now boot up with password protection enabled, keeping your prehistoric world private and secure.
