Getting Started – How to Access Your CS2 Server and Control Panel

Have you purchased your CS2 server at GGServers? Here’s how to get started!

GGServers offers full access to your game server control panel, where users can manage everything that happens on the server.

This article will show the first steps for joining your CS2 server and using the game server panel to manage your server.


✔️ How Do I Find My Game Server Panel and Server Connection Details ✔️

To access your game server panel, you need to follow the next steps:

  1. Log in to your billing account here.

  1. Click on your customer’s profile button, then on Email History.

  1. Click on the first option, Your Game Server Details, and you’ll see your server information and the game server panel credentials as well.

  1. Note your game server panel credentials and server connection details, then go here to log in. You can find the game server panel link in the welcome email as well.

NOTE⚠: Your server connection details will be used to join your server further in the guide.


  1. Use the credentials from the last step and log in.

Now, you’ve just logged in to your CS2 game server panel, where you can see and manage your server.


  1. After logging in, you will be able to find all your instances (game servers). Click on the CS2 instance to see the connection details or to start or stop it. You can also click on Manage to customize and make changes to your server.

  1. Before you start playing, you will have to click on the Manage button mentioned in the last step, then on the Update button, and add your Steam account details for the server files to be downloaded.

Some server applications (especially those that don’t ship separately from their base game) require that you authenticate with Steam to download them.

  1. If you click on the CS2 instance, and then on the Manage button, a new page will open where you can fully manage your CS2 server. Also, a new menu will pop up where you can select between multiple options, such as Console to see the server logs or File Manager to access your server files.

How Do I Join My CS2 Server

You can connect to your server via your game panel, in-game, or using the community server list.

NOTE⚠: To join your CS2 server in-game, you will have to use the server connection details that you noted in step number four.

To join your server, you will have to:

  1. Log in to your game server panel here.
Log In

  1. Click on the CS2 instance, then click on the Manage button.

  1. Click on the icon located after the View Connection Details button, then click on Open Link.

  1. Click on Join Game.

Now, you’ve just connected to your CS2 server!


Join In-Game

To join your server in-game, you will have to:

  1. Start CS2, then click on Settings.

  1. Find the Enable Developer Console option and set it to Yes.

  1. Now open the console using the tilde key ( ~ ).

  1. Type connect IP:PORT and replace IP:PORT with your actual server connection details, then hit Enter.

Now, you’ve just connected to your CS2 server!


Community Server

After you added your server through Steam in the last steps above, you can now find it in the Community Server list in-game:

  1. Launch CS2 and click on Play.

  1. Click on Community Server.

  1. Select Counter-Strike 2 as the game, then click on the search button.
Connect

  1. Find your server, click on it, and then click Connect.
