If your Iron Golem farm isn’t working, even though it looks correct, you’re not alone. This is a common issue in Minecraft Java Edition, especially when building multiple identical modules. Here’s a simple guide to help you fix it fast.
Common Problem: One Module Works, the Other Doesn’t

You might notice:
- One farm spawns golems perfectly.
- Another identical one doesn’t spawn anything.
- Both have beds, villagers, and zombies.
- You’ve even broken and reset everything… but still nothing.
The Real Reason: Villager Position vs. Bed Position

In Minecraft, the village center is calculated based on bed location and villager location.
If villagers are too far away from their beds, or obstructed, the farm will break silently.
Quick Fix from This Awesome Video
Follow these steps:
- Break the beds in the broken module.
- Remove the villagers from their spot.
- Place the beds again, and make sure they are accessible.
- Let the villagers see and claim the beds again.
- Put the villagers back into their holding spot after they’ve linked.
This simple reset usually fixes everything!

Extra Tips
- Make sure the zombie is close enough to scare villagers.
- No blocks should block line of sight between villagers and the zombie.
- Use solid blocks under beds, not slabs or trapdoors.
- Golem spawn platform must be within 8 blocks of the village center.
