This guide will help you understand what the Simple Voice Chat plugin is and how to install and configure it on your server.

# ❓ What Is the Simple Voice Chat Plugin ❓

The Simple Voice Chat plugin or mod adds a proximity voice chat to your Minecraft server. You can choose between push-to-talk (PTT) and voice activation.

# ⚠ Important Notes ⚠

* Simple Voice Chat Plugin can run only on CraftBukkit, Spigot, or Paper, as it is a plugin. Fabric and Forge versions are available online, with slightly different installation procedures.
* We strongly advise you to use **Paper** on your server type, as it provides numerous benefits such as preventing lag and other crashes not found on Vanilla, Craftbukkit, or Spigot.
* Versions older than 2.1.0 can only join servers with the Fabric version of the mod!

# ️ Installing the Plugin ️

You can set up the Simple Voice Chat plugin either manually or using our Multicraft Auto-Installer.

## Using Multicraft Auto-Installer

To install the plugin via the Multicraft Auto-Installer, you need to:

1. Log in to your Multicraft panel [here](https://mc.ggservers.com/site/login) and stop your server.

2. Go to `Installers`, then to `Plugin Installer`

3. Select `Bukkit` and type `Simple Voice Chat` in the search box. Press `ENTER`.

4. Click on  `Install` to set up the Simple Voice Chat plugin.

5. Go back and now select `Spigot` and type `ProtocolLib` in the search box. Press ENTER.

6. Click on `Install` to set up the ProtocolLib plugin.

7. Start the server for the plugins to generate their folders.

## Installing the Plugin Manually

To set up the plugin manually, you need to:

1. Log in to your Multicraft panel [here](https://mc.ggservers.com/site/login) and stop your server.

2. Go [here](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/simple-voice-chat.93738/) and download the appropriate version of the Voice Chat plugin, and also go [here](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/protocollib.1997/) and download the appropriate version of the ProtocolLib plugin.

3. Use FileZilla to connect to your server and upload the plugins to your server’s `plugins` folder.

4. Start the server for the plugins to generate their folders.

# How to Configure the Voice Chat Plugin

1. Stop your server so you can start configuring the plugin.

2. On your main Multicraft page, **copy your IP address**. Then go to `Files`, `FTP File Access`, and log in.

3. Once logged in, open the `/plugins` folder, then the `/voicechat` folder. Then right-click at the `voicechat-server.properties` and select `Edit`.

4. Simply paste your server IP on the `bind_adress` section, and for the `port` section, you will need to find an open port and set it there.

|| ⚠ **NOTE **⚠: If you are also using **Geyser** plugin on your server, make sure to change the Simple Voice Chat port to [an open port](https://help.ggservers.com/en-us/article/how-to-find-an-open-port-for-your-pluginmod-od9adt/). Otherwise, the server will crash when using the same port for both of these plugins. (Keep in mind that Bedrock users won’t be able to use this, as it’s not possible to install mods on Bedrock.).

5. To find the open port, you need to go back to your main Multicraft page, then click on `Tools` and `Open Port`.

6. Then click on `Find an Open Port` and note it, so you can input it as the `port` for the Voice Chat plugin.

7. Done! You are all set up. Now you can simply start your server again for the plugins to work.


|| Make sure to do all the adjustments needed on your client side.


|| You can join the server and test the voice chat connection of a specific player by typing the command `/voicechat test `.
