How to Set Up and Use RCON on Your Server


This article will show you how to properly set up and use RCON on your Minecraft server.

# ❓ What is RCON ❓

**RCON** is a protocol that allows server administrators to remotely execute Minecraft commands. 

It can be used by the server owner or by developers who are creating apps that are connecting to your Minecraft server.

# How to Enable RCON

To enable RCON on your server, you will have to do the following:

1. Log in to your Multicraft panel [here](https://mc.ggservers.com/site/login) and click on `Files`.

2. Click on `Config Files`


—

3. Click on `Server Settings`


—

4. Find the box titled `Enable Rcon`, enable it, and click on `Save`.

5. Restart your server.

Now, you just enabled RCON on your Minecraft server!

# How to Set a Password and a Port

To set up a password and port for RCON on your server, you will have to do the following:

1. Log in to your Multicraft panel here and click on `Files`.

2. Click on `Config Files`.

3. Click on `Server Settings`.

4. Find the boxes titled `rcon.password` and `rcon.port`, set a password and an open port, and click on `Save`.
