> You should never pre-generate a large number, such as spamming `99999999` or `1000000` as this can cause the world to pre-generate hundreds of gigabytes or even terabytes, which can result in world corruption and service suspension until the issue is resolved!

# Why Should I Use a World Border and Pre-Generate My World?

Minecraft’s world creation is a process based on complex calculations. A world is generated dynamically as you play, meaning that the entire world is not created when you start playing, but it generates more and more as you play.

For example, the game starts with several generated chunks near your spawn. Then, as you start to explore, new chunks are generated along your path. So the game is generating new chunks and loads them as you travel. The process of generating new chunks when you explore can excessively slow down your game. 

Setting a world border and pre-generating the chunks inside it removes this type of lag entirely, while still allowing you to have a world big enough for your players to explore forever.

# ❓ What Is World Pre Generator Mod ❓

The World Pre Generator mod is an addition to your server that will let you pre-generate your dimensions to reduce lag and improve performance.

|| ⚠ NOTE ⚠: A good way to reduce lag on your server is to set from the start a radius where you want your players to play/explore, then use a plugin/mod to pre-generate the chunks from that zone, so when players explore that zone, the game will just have to load the already existing chunks instead of generating them.

This mod is working on Minecraft versions higher than the `1.13` versions, meaning `1.14`, `1.15`, `1.16`, `1.17`, `1.18`, and `1.19`.

# How to Set Up Pre Generator Mod

To install the World Pre Generator mod, you need to do the following:

# How to Pre-Generate Your World

To pre-generate your world, you will use the following command:

`/pregen start `

This command will per-generate the area with the specified center positions, radius, and dimension.

**Example:**

`/pregen start 0 0 175 minecraft:overworld`

This command will generate a 5600X5600 block area with the center in the middle of the overworld.

This command will cancel the pre-generation tasks for the specified dimension.
