How to play CS:GO 1 LEGACY Version

Following the release of Counter-Strike 2 ( CS:GO 2 ), Valve’s fresh First-Person Shooter, there arose a question regarding the continued availability of its predecessor, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).
In a recent update, the developers introduced an option that enables players to install and engage with CS:GO.
Therefore, we have prepared a guide on how to obtain and enjoy CS:GO 1 ( Legacy Version ) via the Steam platform.

# How to play the Old Counter Strike GO CSGO 1

1. Open Steam
2. Under ‘ Library ‘ right click on ‘ Counter Strike 2 ‘ and click on ‘ Properties… ‘


3. Under the ‘ Betas ‘ tab, click on the ‘ Beta Participation ‘ dropdown.
4. Select ‘ csgo_legacy ‘


5. You’ll notice that the game name has now a ‘ [csgo_legacy] ‘ label on it.


6. If your game is not installed, you should be able to install it now, and play the CSGO Legacy version.


|| **NOTE:** If you already have CSGO 2 installed, a box will pop up every time you start the game, asking which one you’d like to play. Rather CSGO Legacy, or the new CSGO 2.
