How to Change Your Server Spawn Point

This article will help you on how you can change your server’s default spawn point or a specific player spawn point.

On any Minecraft server you will be able to use the following two commands to change the server spawn point or your spawn point:

* `/setworldspawn [x] [y] [z]`

Sets the world’s spawn to the specified coordinates. If no coordinates are specified, the world spawn will be set to the executor’s current location.

* `/spawnpoint [x] [y] [z]`

Sets the world’s spawn to the specified coordinates. If no coordinates are specified, the world spawn will be set to the executor’s current location.

# Vanilla Servers

To set your new spawn point you will have to:

1. Join your server.

2. Go to your wished spawn location/block.

3. Type: `/setworldspawn`.

Done! New players will spawn at your new spawn location!

# Plugins Server ( Bukkit/ Spigot/ Paper )

If you want to change your spawn point on your plugins server (`Bukkit/ Spigot/ Paper`), we suggest you set up the EssentialsX plugin, which is a basic plugin for any server. Here is our guide for setting it up and using it.

# Modded Servers (Forge)

You can anytime install a mod to manage better the spawn point on modded servers (`Forge`), like [Perfect Spawn](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/perfect-spawn?page=2) but we suggest sticking with the same commands as on Vanilla:

* `/setworldspawn [x] [y] [z]`
* `/spawnpoint [x] [y] [z]`
