How to Change Your Factorio Server to Public


Factorio is a great game, providing a good solo experience. But if you want to team up with other players, you will need to make your server publicly visible for others to be able to join. This can be easily done using the custom game panel you were provided by GGServers with.

By default, Factorio servers have their visibility restricted.

# Creating a Factorio Account and Getting Your Game Token

To start the process, you will need to create a Factorio account [here](https://factorio.com/).

To generate a game server token and add it to your server, you need to:

1. Go to the Factorio Profile page [here](https://www.factorio.com/login?next=/profile) and log in with your existing account or create a new one.

2. Find the `Token` section on your profile page and press the `reveal` button, then copy your token and username.

# How to Change Your Server to Public

Now that you have your game token, all that is left is to add it to your server and set it to public.

1. Log in to your AMP game server panel [here](https://amp.ggservers.com).

2. Click on your Factorio instance, then click on `Manage`, and then stop the server.

3. Click on `Configuration`, then on `Server`.

4. Find the `Factorio.com username` field and fill in your Factorio account username, then add your `Factorio.com token` that you noted [above in this guide](#1-Creating-a-Factorio-Account-and-Getting-your-Game-Token). The changes will be automatically saved when you modify the text box.

5. Find the `Server visible publicly` section and enable it.

6. Start your Factorio server by clicking on `Status`, then on `Start`.
