Getting Started – How to Access Your ARK Server and Control Panel (old)


Have you purchased your ARK server at GGServers? Here’s how to get started!

First, GGServers offers full access to your game server control panel, where users can manage everything that happens on the server.

This article will show the first steps for joining your ARK server and using the AMP panel to manage your server.

|| ⚠ **NOTE **⚠: When you start your server for the first time, you will have to add an administrator password, as explained [below in this guide](#1-how-do-i-find-my-amp-panel).

# ✔️ How Do I Find My AMP Panel and Server Connection Details ✔️

To access your AMP panel, you need to follow the next steps:

1. Log in to your billing account [here](https://ggservers.com/billing/index.php/login).

2. Click on your customer’s profile button, then on `Email History`.

3. Click on the first option, `Your Game Server Details`, and you’ll see your server information and the AMP (Control Panel) credentials as well.

4. Note your AMP panel credentials and server connection details, then go [here](https://amp.ggservers.com) to log in. You can find the AMP panel link in the welcome email as well.


|| ⚠ **NOTE **⚠: Your server connection details will be used to join your server [further in the guide](#1-how-do-i-join-my-ark-server).

5. Use the credentials from the last step and login.


Now, you’ve just logged in to your ARK AMP control panel, where you can see and manage your server.

6. After logging in, you will be able to find all your instances (game servers). Click on the `ARK` instance to see the connection details or to start or stop it. You can also click on `Manage` to customize and make changes to your server.

7. Before you start playing, you will have to click on the `Manage` button mentioned in the last step, then on the `Update` button.

8. If you click on the ARK instance, then on the `Manage` button, a new page will open where you can fully manage your ARK server. Also, a new menu will pop up where you can select between multiple options, such as `Console` to see the server logs or `File Manager` to access your server files.

# How Do I Join My ARK Server

To join your ARK server, you will have to use the server connection details that you noted [in step number four](#1-how-do-i-find-my-amp-panel-and-server-connection-details).

Keep in mind that you can add your server through Steam or using the Epic Game launcher.

## Using Epic Game Launcher

In order to join your ARK server via the Epic Game Launcher you will have to do the following:

1. Open your ARK game and click on `HOST/LOCAL` in the menu.

2. Click on `Play Single Player` and start your game.

|| Please note that it does not matter what you select in the single-player options, you will anyway join your server.

3. When loading, just press `TAB` and open the ARK game console.

—

4. Type in your console ` open (server IP):7777` and press `Enter`. After doing so you will be connected to your server.


Now you just connected to your ARK server via the Epic Game Launcher.

|| NOTE: There still isn’t any way to join your ARK server from the main menu using the Epic Game Launcher.

## Using Steam

In order to join your ARK server via Steam you will have to do the following:

1. Open your Steam client and click on `View`, then on `Servers`.

2. Click on `FAVORITES`.

3. Click on `Add A Server` and put your server `IP:Port` in the address box. Then click on `ADD THIS ADDRESS TO FAVORITES`.

4. Open your ARK game and click on `Join ARK`.


—

5. You will be able to filer the resoults in the bottom left of the window. Select `Favorites` for the `Session Filter`.

6. Click on `Refresh`, then you should be able to see your server there and join it!

Now you just connected to your ARK server via Steam!
