Installation: Cauldron Print

  • 494

Cauldron allows you to run both Forge mods and Craftbukkit plugins simultaneously on your Minecraft server. Installing Cauldron consists of downloading the installer, installing a server locally on your computer, and then uploading the generated/downloaded files to your server directory via FTP. This guide will take you through the steps necessary to get Cauldron up and running yourself, though if you have any difficulties, or wish to have us install Cauldron for you, simply open a ticket with our Minecraft Support Team.

Step 1: Download the Cauldron jar and the corresponding libraries for the version you wish to play from the following website (https://sourceforge.net/projects/cauldron-unofficial/files/1.7.10/)

Be make sure to download the libraries file that corresponds to the right version of cauldron you wish to install.

Step 2: In a separate folder on your computer, unpack the libraries folder and place the jars you downloaded also into this folder.

Step 3: Log into your FTP directory via an FTP Client such as FileZilla by following this guide (https://ggservers.com/billing/knowledgebase/13/FTP-File-Access.html)

Step 4: Backup any files currently on the server to a folder on your personal computer that you might want or need later.

Step 5: Delete all of the files from your server, and then make a new folder and name it ‘jar’. (minus quotes)

Step 6: Upload the libraries folder and all of the jars to the /jar folder.

Step 7: Then also upload the libraries folder to the root folder so it's in / and in the /jar folder.

Step 8: Rename the cauldron server jar to permgen.jar. Do not rename the Minecraft_server-x.x.x.jar.

Step 9: In the multicraft panel, change your jar selection to permgen and click save at the bottom of the page to save the changes.

Step 10: Start your server.

If you have any difficulties with following this guide, or any other issues with your server, please open a ticket with our Minecraft Technical Support Team.
