There may come a time when you or your community feel it\u2019s time for a fresh adventure in Terraria. Starting over will wipe your current world\u2019s data, but you can either remove the current world entirely or switch to a brand new one by renaming it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Removing the Existing World<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t need to keep your current world, deleting it is the fastest way to generate a new one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Access your server\u2019s control panel and STOP the server.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Head to the Files<\/strong> section and open the \/Saves\/Worlds\/<\/strong> folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Inside the folder, delete the file named (worldnamehere).wld<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Launch your server again, and a fresh world will be created automatically.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Renaming to Generate a New World<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    If you want to save your current world for future use, you can change the world\u2019s filename to trigger a new one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
