You can find our guide for how to make a backup <a href=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/article\/how-to-make-a-backup-and-download-it\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So you can find your backups in your root directory of the server as ZIP files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, for you to download the backup you want please follow the next steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use Filezilla to connect to your server as <a href=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/article\/how-to-connect-to-your-server-using-filezilla\/\">this guide<\/a> tells.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>Download the ZIP file that you need by dragging it into your PC files side of Filezilla.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/1_dnl14i.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2328 Test the Backup \u2328<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>We strongly recommend you test your backup before going deeper into the process. To test your backup you just need to run it into single-player and verify that it is working and that all your constructions are there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so please follow the next steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unzip the backup you just downloaded. Usually, you do so by right-clicking on it and then click on <code>Extract Here<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>Press the Windows key (<code>\u229e Win<\/code>) and type <code>run<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Type <code>%appdata%.minecraft<\/code> in the box that appears and then press the <code>Enter<\/code> key. Note that this should open the default Minecraft installation folder. If you installed it in a different folder you need to go yourself there.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/41x2qiml_1yj2jou.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\n<li>Find your <code>saves<\/code> folder and place your world folder you unzipped in step number one there.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2_gy73jt.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>At the next Minecraft start, you will find your world between your single-player worlds and you will be able to play on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">  Upload the Backup to Your Server  <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>After testing the backup and confirming it is not damaged in any way, all you have to do is upload the world folder you tested as a custom world into your server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">\u26a0 NOTE \u26a0: We have a guide <a href=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/article\/how-to-upload-a-world-to-your-server\/\">here<\/a> explaining how to upload your custom world to your server, the process is the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>To upload your world to your server you will have to use Filezilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">NOTE: We suggest starting this process by downloading your old world to have a copy of it if needed! Please use <a href=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/article\/how-to-download-your-world\/\">this guide<\/a> to download your world into your PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ggservers.com\/knowledgebase\/article\/how-to-connect-to-your-server-using-filezilla\/\">Here<\/a> is our guide for using Filezilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To upload your world please do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare the new world folder you want to upload and please be sure it is not named the same as your old\/ actual world folder name.
