This guide will show you how to properly restore a Multicraft backup manually, meaning without using the Multicraft Restore option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Find the Backup and Download It <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

When you make a backup via the Multicraft panel, your world is added to a ZIP file and put in the root directory of the server with the same name as your world folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u26a0 NOTE \u26a0: You can also see all your backup in the Multicraft panel, in the Restore menu. You can find our guide for how to make a backup here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So you can find your backups in your root directory of the server as ZIP files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, for you to download the backup you want please follow the next steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Use Filezilla to connect to your server as this guide<\/a> tells.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Download the ZIP file that you need by dragging it into your PC files side of Filezilla.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      \u2328 Test the Backup \u2328<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

      We strongly recommend you test your backup before going deeper into the process. To test your backup you just need to run it into single-player and verify that it is working and that all your constructions are there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      To do so please follow the next steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Unzip the backup you just downloaded. Usually, you do so by right-clicking on it and then click on Extract Here<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Press the Windows key (\u229e Win<\/code>) and type run<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          \n\n\n\n

          1. Type %appdata%.minecraft<\/code> in the box that appears and then press the Enter<\/code> key. Note that this should open the default Minecraft installation folder. If you installed it in a different folder you need to go yourself there.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            1. Find your saves<\/code> folder and place your world folder you unzipped in step number one there.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              At the next Minecraft start, you will find your world between your single-player worlds and you will be able to play on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Upload the Backup to Your Server <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

              After testing the backup and confirming it is not damaged in any way, all you have to do is upload the world folder you tested as a custom world into your server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              To upload your world to your server you will have to use Filezilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              NOTE: We suggest starting this process by downloading your old world to have a copy of it if needed! Please use this guide<\/a> to download your world into your PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              To upload your world please do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. Prepare the new world folder you want to upload and please be sure it is not named the same as your old\/ actual world folder name. You will have to note the name of the new world folder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                1. Use Filezilla to upload the new world folder to your server, meaning inside the root directory of the server.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Log in to your Multicraft here<\/a>, find the Custom World<\/code> section, paste your new world folder name there (the one you noted in step number one) without clicking on Create World<\/code><\/strong>, and click on Save<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    1. Restart your server.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                      Now you just uploaded your custom world to your server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      How to Change Between Existing Worlds <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

                      If you restored your world and want by any chance to set back your old world, all you have to do is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      1. Log in to your Multicraft here<\/a> and stop your server.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                        1. Find the World<\/code> section in your main Multicraft page, click on the drop-down menu, select the wanted world and then click on Save<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                          To add a new option to the drop-down menu all you have to do is to find the Custom World<\/code> section located under the World<\/code> section, paste the new option you want to add there without clicking on Create World<\/code><\/strong>, and click on Save<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                            Now you just changed back to your old world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
