This guide will show you how to properly set and use the scheduled tasks section of our Pterodactyl Panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheduled tasks option is one of our panel features that allows you to set scheduled events\/commands to be executed at a specific date\/time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can use it for regular backups, world saves, server restarts, in-game messages, and anything else you wish to execute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Create a Scheduled Task <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

To create a new scheduled task, you need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Log in to your Pterodactyl Panel here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Click on Scheduled Tasks<\/code>and click on Create schedule<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The Pterodactyl Panel is using Cronjob syntax, you can click on “Show Cheatsheet” for more details.

        If the Cheatsheet seems confusing, here are some examples:<\/strong>

        – To create a task every day, at 2:30AM you need to type “30” in the Minutes<\/code> box and “2” in Hour<\/code> box:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        – To create task every 6 hours, you will need to use *\/6 in the Hour<\/code> box:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The Cronjob on the panel consists of five fields representing time and date. The fields are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Minute<\/strong> (0 – 59)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Hour<\/strong> (0 – 23)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Day of Month<\/strong> (1 – 31)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Month<\/strong> (1 – 12)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Day of Week<\/strong> (0 – 6) (Sunday to Saturday)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Using Step Values<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          Step values allow you to define a frequency for the task to run. The syntax is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
