This guide will show you how to enable your client console and the possible commands or cheats that you can use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Enable the Console on Your Valheim Client <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

To be able to use any commands in Valheim, you first need to enable the client console by following the next steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open your Steam client and go to your library.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Find Valheim, click on it, then on the gear icon, and then on Properties<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Valheim Useful Commands <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

          Some commands require you to be an admin on the server to be able to use them. Also, other commands will require your server to have cheats enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n\n\n\n

          Player Commands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          These commands can be used by any player (admin or not)<\/strong> on a Valhleim server, as they affect only the player executing the command. Also, they do not require cheats to be enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/lodbias [number]<\/code> | Will set the draw distance for the server. The number can be set from 1 to 5. |
          \n| \/nomap<\/code> | Will toggle map visibility. |
          \n| \/noportals<\/code> | Will toggle the noportals global key. |
          \n| \/optterrain<\/code> | Will convert all the old terrain modifications in the nearby area to the new system. |
          \n| \/ping<\/code> | Will ping the server for latency mesurements. |
          \n| \/printbinds<\/code> | Will show the current custom command binds. |
          \n| \/printseeds<\/code> | Will show the seeds and positions of nearby dungeons. |
          \n| \/resetbinds<\/code> | Will removes all custom commands binds. |
          \n| \/resetsharedmap<\/code> | Will remove shared map data from cartography table. |
          \n| \/resetspawn<\/code> | Will resets the spawn location. |
          \n| \/respawn<\/code> | Will kill the character. |
          \n| \/restartparty<\/code> | Will restarts the playfab party network. |
          \n| \/tutorialreset<\/code> | Will reset viewed tutorial messages. |
          \n| \/tutorialtoggle<\/code> | Will toggle whether the tutorials are shown. |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Server Admin Commands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          These commands can be used on any Valheim server only by admin players. Also, they do not require your server to have cheats enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Here is our guide for adding admins to your Valheim server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Cheat Commands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          These commands can be used on a server only if you are an admin and if cheats are enabled.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \u26a0 NOTE<\/strong>\u26a0: To enable cheats in Valheim, type devcommands<\/code> into the console and press Enter<\/code>. After that, you can use any cheat command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          God Mode Cheats | Effect |\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/ghost<\/code> | Will toggle the ghost mode (enemies ignore you). |
          \n| \/fly<\/code> | Will toggle the fly mode. |
          \n| \/freefly<\/code> | Will toggle the free camera. |
          \n| \/spawn [entity name] [amount] [level]<\/code> | Will spawn the specified entity (see ItemIDs<\/a> for a list of spawnable entities). |
          \n| \/god<\/code> | Will enable the god mode. |
          \n| \/location [name]<\/code> | Will spawn a location instance. Permanently disables saving. Adding SAVE<\/code> at the end of the command will not disable saving. |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Characters Cheats | Effect |\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/heal<\/code> | Will heal you to full Health. |
          \n| \/puke<\/code> | Will reset the fullness\/hunger, returning you to default health or stamina. |
          \n| \/raiseskill [skill] [amount]<\/code> | Will raise (or lower) the named skill by the value entered. |
          \n| \/resetcharacter<\/code> | Will reset all of your character data. |
          \n| \/setpower [name]<\/code> | Will set the current Forsaken power and resets the cooldown (GP_Eikthyr, GP_TheElder, etc). |
          \n| \/beard [beard#]<\/code> | Will permanently change your beard. Entering this command without an argument removes your beard. |
          \n| \/hair [hair#]<\/code> | Will permanently change your hair. Entering this command without an argument removes your hair. |
          \n| \/model [0-1]<\/code> | Will switch the character model from masculine to feminine. |
          \n| \/addstatus [name]<\/code> | Will add a status effect (Rested, Burning, SoftDeath, Wet, etc). |
          \n| \/clearstatus<\/code> | Will remove any status effects (good and bad). |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Entities Cheats | Effect |\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/removebirds<\/code> | Will remove all active birds. |
          \n| \/tame<\/code> | Will tame all nearby Creatures. |
          \n| \/removedrops<\/code> | Will remove all items drops in the area (same as in the debug mode). |
          \n| \/removefish<\/code> | Will remove all active fish. |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Teleporting Cheats | Effect |\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/goto [x] [z]<\/code> | Will teleport the player to the specified coordinates. |
          \n| \/recall [name]<\/code> | Will teleport all players matching the name to your position. Without name, teleports all players. |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/resetmap<\/code> | Will hide the entire map. |
          \n| \/genloc<\/code> | Will redistribute all unplaced locations. |
          \n| \/find [text] [pingmax]<\/code> | Will find matching objects and ping them on the map. Pingmax defaults to 1; if greater, it will place pins on the map instead. |
          \n| \/forcedelete [radius] [name]<\/code> | Will remove objects within the given radius (up to 50 meters). |
          \n| \/wind [angle] [intensity]<\/code> | Will adjust the direction and intensity of the wind. |
          \n| \/resetwind<\/code> | Will reset the wind angle and intensity. |
          \n| \/printlocations<\/code> | Will print the loaded locations and their distances and offsets to the player. |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Time Cheats | Effect |\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/time<\/code> | Will show the current time and whether sleeping is possible. |
          \n| \/timescale [target = 1] [fadetime = 0]<\/code> | Will set the speed of time. Up to 3x speed. Fadetime sets the transition duration. |
          \n| \/tod [0-1]<\/code> | Will set time of day. 0 and 1 are both midnight. 0.5 is noon. -1 revert to default. |
          \n| \/sleep<\/code> | Skips forward one day. |
          \n| \/skiptime [seconds = 240]<\/code> | Will skip forward, changing the day number and time of day. |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n| \/aggravate<\/code> | Will aggravate neutrals within 20 meters. |
          \n| \/dpsdebug<\/code> | Will toggle dps debug print on and off. |
          \n| \/env [env]<\/code> | Will set the debug environment. |
          \n| \/gc<\/code> | Will show the garbage collection information. |
          \n| \/itemset [name] [keep]<\/code> | Will pawn a premade item set. Without ‘keep’ flag, current items will be dropped. |
          \n| \/listkeys<\/code> | Will list all global keys. |
          \n| \/nextseed<\/code> | Will force the next dungeon to a seed (regenerates it). Permanently disables saving. |
          \n| \/players [number]<\/code> | Will adjust the difficulty scale. Enter 0 to reset the difficulty. |
          \n| \/removekey [name]<\/code> | Will remove a global key. |
          \n| \/resetkeys [name]<\/code> | Will remove all global keys. [name] parameter doesn’t do anything. |
          \n| \/resetskill [skill]<\/code> | Will set specified skill level to 0. |
          \n| \/setkey [name]<\/code> | Will add a global key. |<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n\n\n\n

          Debug Mode <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

          The debug mode is another useful tool you can use on your Valheim server. It is like a creative mode. You can enable flying and build as you wish without the need for any resources or a workbench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          To enable the debug mode, you just need to go to your console and type the following command: debugmode<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n
