view distance you need to do the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to your Pterodactyl <a href=\"https:\/\/panel.ggservers.com\">here<\/a> and stop your class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Calculate The View Distance Value<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Simulation and View Distance<\/strong> (or custom distance setting) uses a specific equation to determine how many chunks the server will load for all players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The equation for simulation distance is:<br><strong>(distance + distance + 1)\u00b2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For a distance of <strong>10<\/strong>, the equation would be:<br><em>(10 + 10 + 1)\u00b2 = 21\u00b2 = 441<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For a distance of <strong>16<\/strong>, the equation would be:<br><em>(16 + 16 + 1)\u00b2 = 33\u00b2 = 1,089<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For a distance of <strong>50<\/strong>, the equation would be:<br><em>(50 + 50 + 1)\u00b2 = 101\u00b2 = 10,201<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" 16&#215;16 blocks, with no limit to height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2754 View Distance Changed but Chunks Not Loading \u2754<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>This is something that is happening if you are running one of the following server types as they all have the <code>spigot.yml<\/code> file:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><code>Spigot<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Magma<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Mohist<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>Paper<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>PurPur<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The server types mentioned above present an extra option in the <code>spigot.yml<\/code> file called <code>view-distance<\/code> which controls the chunks generations.  The server will still load the number of chunks mentioned in the <code>server.properties<\/code> file (the one displayer under <code>Server Settings<\/code> in Multicraft) but only if they are generated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <code>view-distance<\/code> option can limit the number of generated chunks, so if they are not already generated they will not be seen even if the <code>Server Settings<\/code> option is set to a higher number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>For example, in a new world there are not so many chunks generated, so even with the <code>View Distance<\/code> set to a high number you will not see so many chunks in the distance.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Description: Controls the number of chunks that will be loaded around every player. This value cannot be higher than 15 or lower than 1.
