🐲 The Happy Ghast: A Flying Mount Straight from the Nether

At the heart of Chase the Skies is the long-awaited Happy Ghast, a majestic, rideable flying mob. This isn’t just a new mob, it’s your new method of sky-bound transportation.

How to Get the Happy Ghast:

  • Step 1: Venture into the Nether and search for Dried Ghast blocks, typically found near fossil structures. Can’t find one? You might get lucky trading with Piglins—or craft your own with Ghast Tears and Soul Sand.
  • Step 2: Place the dried ghast in water to bring it back to life as a Ghastling.
  • Step 3: Feed your Ghastling snowballs until it evolves into a full-fledged Happy Ghast, ready to soar.

The Happy Ghast can even carry multiple players, making it a fun and useful way to explore the world from above.

🧭 Player Locator Bar: Multiplayer Made Smarter

Another standout feature of Chase the Skies is the Player Locator Bar. This new UI element appears where your XP bar usually is and shows the position of other players using color-coded dots and arrows.

Now, you’ll always know if your friend is deep in a cave or up on a mountain peak, no more getting lost during co-op play.

🎵 New Music Disc + Biome Soundtracks

The update also includes a brand-new music disc called “Tears”, which you can obtain by defeating a Ghast using its own fireball. Alongside that, five ambient tracks will enhance various Overworld biomes. These new soundscapes aim to create a richer and more immersive Minecraft experience.

✨ Vibrant Visuals: Minecraft’s Biggest Official Graphics Update Yet

“Chase the Skies” introduces Vibrant Visuals, a massive graphics overhaul that pushes Minecraft’s aesthetic to a new level. Expect:

  • Directional lighting
  • Volumetric fog
  • Dynamic shadows and reflections

These changes will launch first on Bedrock Edition, but Mojang has confirmed Java Edition support is coming in a future update. Best of all, players using Realms can play together regardless of visual settings.

🧵 Crafting Changes: Saddles and Leads Simplified

Saddles are now craftable with leather and iron, making mount riding more accessible than ever. Leads have also been improved—just use string, and you’re ready to leash mobs or even attach a boat underneath your Happy Ghast for creative transport!

📅 Release Date?

As of now, Mojang hasn’t confirmed an exact release date for Chase the Skies, but it was revealed during the MC Championship TwitchRivals stream, suggesting a release is imminent. Based on Mojang’s typical schedule, fans are speculating a summer 2025 launch.

I have probably written reviews before and I will probably do it each time I have noteworthy experiences with ggservers Read More For context I have ordered servers from this provider multiple times across several years While pricing changes due to general pricing changes across the market and availability of services changes according to what they can make available the one thing that has NEVER changed in my experience is their customer support I primarily order modded servers specifically with modpacks I create myself Not only is it great they allow people to host their own modpacks but they provide expert insight and support to assist their clients in making the packs run well and quickly work to solve any issues that arise And when one makes use of custom modpacks issues are frequent And yet ggservers is there to help you make it work support every time
