Why is my server is lagging? Печать

Here at GGServers, we can not guarantee that your server will be lag free. There are many factors that are out of our control that can cause lag-like symptoms. These factors can include but are not limited to: Plugin usage, player slots, your location, your internet, your hardware, and what other clients are doing on the node.  We try our best to keep all servers to a minimal lag factor. If necessary, we notify the owners of servers for using too much of the node's resources. If you're noticing lag on your server and you're certain it isn't anything you're doing on your server, submit a ticket and we will look into it for you.

Here are a few things that can cause lag on your server: Check if anything in the following list is happening on your server.

1: TPS Lag: User and movement is sudden, and jumpy, water flow isn't as it should be, chat still works fine. You can check for TPS lag with Essentials /mem and NoLagg /lagg mem commands. If TPS is under 18, then you have TPS lag. 18 - 20 is normal for minecraft.

2: Network lag: Chat is extrememly slow to appear, breaking of blocks results in them rolling back, animal and mob movement seems fine, but player movement is finnicky.

3: Minecraft Server Engine (MCE Lag): This is similar to TPS lag in the sense that water flow doesnt work right, generally not at all, In fact. You can't see other players moving, Animals Aren't moving, You can't place or break a block. This kind of lag is usually bad news for your server. It can mean it has crashed or is crashing, It can mean that the memory is all being used up, and it generally means that you need to take a long hard look at your plugins and downsize. If you already have a large server and you get this, then check the multicraft console for crashes. If nothing is showing up there, then perhaps the node is crashing. All of these things have to be happening for a long time, over 30 seconds. Please follow our Minecraft Troubleshooting guide first (https://ggservers.com/billing/knowledgebase/15/Minecraft-Server-Troubleshooting-Guide.html), and then submit a ticket if you can't find the cause and we will look into it for you.
